I am a kiwi who has escaped to rural France with my partner Nik (part english/part german). When we are not renovating our old farmhouse, we like to make "things"; from preserving food to handcrafts to sculpture! We have been hosting people from around the world via Workaway and the best part of this experience is the shared meals - Eataway is the obvious next thing! :) I love experimenting in the kitchen - I would say my style of cooking was a mix of english/french but I love Middle Eastern food, Nik loves Italian and Japanese... okay, we just love food, but best of all, sharing food :D
We are in rural France -1.5 hours from Calais and 2.5 hours from Paris (by car) but we have accommodation onsite (www.farmhouse.fr) so you can stay and enjoy a meal at the same time :)
Expect a great meal with these two, fresh food to make up scrumptious salads and sides, and Nik is a demon on the barbeque. The meal will be so much more with Nik and Donna, they are such great people
I ate many meals with Donna and Nik when I was in France. I can honestly say I never had a bad meal, delicious fresh food, Donna and Nik are great hosts, you always have a fun time and I recommend it.
Donna is a star! With a few ingredients a meal appears and the taste ? Superb.
