Hi, I''m the co-founder of the platform eataway.com which connects people with home cooks and hosts all around the world. For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop. Recently I was the host of a big food event for The Krakow Pierogi Festival and Harvest Festival. (I also appear regularly on TV and radio as a guest, discussing subjects related to home cooking, the sharing economy and food tech.)
Our culinary meeting takes place in Salwator, beautiful Krakow's area not far from Rynek Glowny – about 15 min by tram and 10 by taxi. I will prepare a traditional Polish meal with local produce, much of which is grown in my garden. in the heart of the countryside. Starting with a soup – probably chicken broth, or fresh vegetable soup, then the main course...pierogi : )We will be preparing together famous fresh dumplings with different stuffings (a lot of fun and delicious! ) lunch + cooking lesson. For dessert, look out for delicious cheesecake with chocolate sauce or salty caramel, sprinkled with wild berries from the garden. Cooking with fun.

It is very easy to get to, being about 10 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes by tram from Rynek Glowny, if you take a tram, choose number 1, 2 or 6 heading to SALWATOR and take the stop after that (it is the final stop where the trams turn around after the Salwator Pętla stop). Hello! I’m Marta, I'm sculptor, but i also love cooking. I’ve always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of my beautiful home town, and more about art of fermented foods/probiotics/prebiotics, both through the website I run eataway.com and with all the wonderful travellers I meet in person.
I also love cooking. That means delicious, home-made food freshly-prepared for my family and friends, and fun evenings of conversation and shared experiences. I’ve often thought when travelling myself how great it would be to have a meal with a local person.
Restaurants are great, but sometimes it seems it would be better to enjoy a home-cooked meal with someone who can also tell me a bit more about their experiences, their lives and their cities. So, I’ve decided to do exactly that. I cook for up to 12 people at my home in Krakow every Wednesday, sometimes Saturdays from around 7pm. And you’re invited. Please join me!
